koso.ai sets two cookies and one local-storage item, all of them strictly necessary. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no consent banner to click through. Here is exactly what each one does.

## 01What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a site asks your browser to keep and send back on your next request. Related technologies do much the same job: local storage keeps a value in the browser until it is cleared. This policy covers both, and sits alongside our [Privacy Policy](/privacy), which explains what we do with personal data more broadly.

## 02Our approach

No banner, because there is nothing to consent to.

koso.ai sets no advertising, profiling or analytics cookies. The only cookies we set are strictly necessary to deliver something you asked for, and regulation 6(4) of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 exempts those from the consent requirement. If we ever add a non-essential cookie, we will ask for your consent first, and this page will change before the cookie does.

We are also not running a third-party analytics suite, a tag manager, a pixel or a retargeting script anywhere on the site.

### Local storage

| koso-agent-user | Mirrors your display name and email so a page can show who is signed in without waiting on the server. The session itself lives in the cookie above, not here. | Until you sign out or clear your browser storage. |

## 04Third-party services on our pages

A few things on the site are served by other companies. They may set their own storage on your device, and they will see your IP address because your browser connects to them directly.

* **ElevenLabs voice assistant.** The chat widget on our pages is loaded only after the page is idle or you interact with it. If you open it and speak to it, ElevenLabs processes that conversation under its own terms.
* **unpkg (Cloudflare).** Serves the script for that widget from a public CDN.
* **Google Fonts.** Supplies the typefaces the site uses. Google receives the request for the font files.
* **Embedded booking and video.** If you book or join a call, the scheduling and video providers set their own cookies on their own pages.

We do not control these providers' storage. Their privacy notices govern what they collect, and the sub-processor table in our [Privacy Policy](/privacy) names each of them.

## 05Refusing or deleting cookies

Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies and clear local storage, usually under settings for privacy, site data or site permissions. The ICO's guidance on [cookies and similar technologies](https://ico.org.uk/for-the-public/online/cookies/) explains the options in plain terms, and [aboutcookies.org](https://www.aboutcookies.org/) has step-by-step instructions per browser.

Blocking our two cookies will not break the marketing pages. It will stop you staying signed in to the agents, so you would be asked to confirm your email again on every visit. Signing out of the agents clears the session cookie itself.

## 06Changes and contact

We update this page whenever the storage this site uses changes. This version is dated 26 August 2026. Questions go to aashish \[at\] koso.ai, and you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you think we have got it wrong.
