## A Research Team, Not A Personality Guess.

Most prospect tools predict a personality type from a profile photo and a headline. This one reads what the person actually put into the world: their role, their company's current state, and the things they have said in public. A locator agent pins down who you mean, then three researchers work in parallel, each citing its sources, and a writer turns their findings into a note you can read in the two minutes before the call.

## What Lands In The Note.

Eight sections, written to be used on a call rather than filed. Every claim traces to a source, and where the evidence is thin the note says so instead of inventing a confident profile of a stranger.

### Who they are

Their role, tenure and background, with what was confirmed kept separate from what is inferred.

### Their company now

What the company does and what is happening there this quarter: a raise, a launch, a hiring push.

### In public

What they have said in talks, podcasts, interviews and posts, with real quotes and the links behind them.

### How to talk to them

A communication read grounded in their own words: numbers or stories, long or blunt, hands-on or delegating.

### What to open with

Two first lines in their own world, angled at what actually matters to them, with no pitch.

### What to ask

Discovery questions their footprint and role suggest, so the call goes somewhere real.

### Watch-outs

Where this could be a bad fit, what might make them skeptical, and what genuinely could not be confirmed.

### Reaching them

Verified links to their public profiles: LinkedIn, X, GitHub, their site, the company site. Each one checked against the search results, never guessed. Never a private number.

## What This Will Not Look For.

This researches a person's public professional footprint, the same reading a diligent person does by hand before a meeting, done faster and with its sources shown. It never hunts for a personal phone number, a home address, a personal email, or anything about a private life, and if a search result happens to contain one, it is dropped rather than repeated. The only contact it will ever suggest is a company email convention, and it says plainly that it is a guess. The point is a better, more respectful conversation, not a dossier on a private person.

## What The Confidence Grades Mean.

The evidence score reads how much the note rests on real, sourced facts about this specific person, and it drops when the researchers had to infer. A low grade is information, not a failure: plenty of good people keep a quiet public profile, and the note tells you when to lead with questions instead of assumptions.

### A

80 and above

Real, sourced evidence about this specific person: their role, their words, their company's current state. Walk in ready.

### B

60 to 79

A solid note with a few gaps. Usually the exact title or the communication read is inferred. Confirm the guesses early on the call.

### C

40 to 59

The public footprint was thin. Treat the note as a starting point and lead with questions rather than assumptions.

### D

below 40

Little could be confirmed about this individual. Often a low public profile or a common name. Go in curious, not scripted.

## Prospect Research FAQ

### What does this prospect research tool actually do?

You give it a person's full name and where they work. It reads the public professional web: a manager agent locates the person, then three researchers work in parallel. One finds their role and background, one finds their public footprint (talks, podcasts, interviews, posts, with quotes and sources), and one finds what their company is doing right now. The answer card at the top links the person's verified public profiles, their LinkedIn, X, GitHub, their own site and the company site, so you can visit each one directly. A writer then hands you a call-prep note: who they are, their company's current context, how they tend to communicate, two openers, three questions to ask, and honest watch-outs. It is built to be read in the two minutes before a call.

### Does it find personal phone numbers or emails?

No, and that is deliberate. This researches a person's public professional footprint only: their role, their company, and what they have said in public. It never looks for a personal phone number, a home address, a personal email, or anything about a private life, and if a search result happens to contain something like that, it is dropped rather than repeated. The only contact it will suggest is a company email convention, like first@company.com, clearly labelled a guess. The output is scrubbed once more in code before you see it, as a backstop.

### How is this different from Crystal Knows or Humantic AI?

Those tools predict a DISC or Big Five personality type from a LinkedIn profile and tell you how to sell to that type. This one does not guess a personality. It reads what the person has actually said in public and grounds every read of how to talk to them in a real quote with its source. Where the footprint is thin, it says the communication read is a light guess rather than inventing a confident profile. It is a research note with citations, not a personality label.

### Is it really free?

Yes. Your first note needs no sign-in; after that we ask for a name and email, no password, no credit card. You can run up to 5 a hour, and a person someone already researched in the last two weeks is served instantly from the saved note. Shared links are always free and never ask anyone to sign in.

### What if the person has almost no public footprint?

Then the note says so, plainly, and stays short. A confidence grade of C or D means the public evidence was thin, which is common for people who do not post or speak publicly. The note will still pull together their likely role and their company's current context, and it will be honest that the communication read is a guess rather than dressing up filler as insight.

### Do I need a LinkedIn or profile link?

No, it helps but it is optional. If you paste a link, the agent reads it first. A personal site or blog reads cleanly; LinkedIn usually blocks automated reads, and the note says so rather than pretending it saw the profile. With or without a link, the researchers still search the open web for the person and their company.

### What do the confidence grades mean?

A (80 and above) means the note rests on real, sourced evidence about this specific person. B (60 to 79) means a solid note with some gaps, usually where a title or a communication read is inferred. C (40 to 59) means the public footprint was thin, so treat it as a starting point. D (below 40) means very little could be confirmed about this individual, often because they keep a low public profile or share a name with many others.

### Is it okay to research someone like this?

This only surfaces what a person has already made public about their professional life, the same reading a diligent person would do by hand before a meeting, done faster and with its sources shown. It stays away from anything private on purpose. Use it to have a more useful, more respectful conversation, not to pressure anyone. The note itself says where it is guessing and where it could be wrong.
