Global Build Team.

Koso is the AI development agency; **Ideanab Private Ltd** is the company that stands behind it. Here's how a one-person AI practice turned into a distributed team that ships production AI for clients on four continents.

The Origin

## How This Started

Koso didn't start as a company. It started as one engineer, Aashish Pahwa, building AI systems for a handful of businesses who were tired of being sold the same generic chatbot with a different logo on it. Each build was bespoke because the problems were never generic: a support queue that needed real judgement, a sales process nobody could template, an internal tool that had to speak the client's own data.

As that list of clients grew, so did the list of problems no single person could solve alone. The fix wasn't to hire a big local team and put everyone in one office. It was to find the best person for each layer of the stack, wherever they happened to live, and build the kind of async, senior-only team that could ship without a headcount of middle management in between.

That team is now formalised as **Ideanab Private Ltd**, incorporated in London in March 2025 as the legal entity behind the Koso brand. The name on the certificate changed; the way we work with clients didn't.

We never set out to build a distributed team on principle. We set out to hire the best person for every layer of the stack, and the best person kept turning out to be a flight away. So the work moved to where the talent was, not the other way round.

We turn down work that a SaaS subscription would solve just as well. If it doesn't need to be custom, we'll tell you so, and mean it.

Code, prompts, evals, infrastructure. It lands in your repo, on your cloud. We build the moat; you keep the keys.

No sales pod, then a delivery pod, then a support pod. The people who scope your build are the people who ship it and stick around after.
